CRASH in India

In just four days, the Danish company Uppercut Dance Theater created the performance CRASH together with Indian dancers and a musician. An intense and highly physical production, CRASH brings together and blends breakdance, contemporary dance, acrobatics, and folk dance.

CRASH was performed at the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa, where every performance sold out and audience members of all ages ended up joining the performers on stage. The company’s workshop for dancers was also fully booked. The performance was created collaboratively, with each artist bringing their own style and personality to the work. On stage, they explored how bodies, people, and cultures can come together. The result was a shared language that, through humour, poignancy, and remarkable physical energy, celebrates both collision and friendship across cultures.
