Teaching Entrepreneurship in Polish Schools in corporation with Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship
60 teachers and pupils from Warsaw secondary schools will take part in a conference and workshops on teaching entrepreneurship and innovation in schools. The course will be led by educators from Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship (Fonden for Entreprenørskab).
The project intends to support Polish schools in the implementation of innovative educational programs showing the Danish experience and good practice in teaching innovation and entrepreneurship.
Based on the 19th-century’s folk high schools tradition, the project-oriented education in Denmark relies heavily on teamwork and cooperation and encourages students to take creative initiatives, often with social or public angle. Using modern methods of teaching, the Danish school puts emphasis on shaping openness, dialogue, trust and cooperation, which is the starting point and a prerequisite for the creation and implementation of innovative ideas and projects. Those are the values Polish schools would like to learn more about.
This first edition of the project is aimed at teachers, students and administrators of secondary schools of the District of Warszawa-Środmieście. It is a one-day course consisting of a lecture and workshops, during which participants will gain both theoretical knowledge about the purpose and methods of teaching entrepreneurship in schools as well as practical skills in processing an idea into a solution by use of innovative tools.
The workshop will be conducted by two experienced educators from the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship (Fonden for Entreprenørskab), that works for the implementation of entrepreneurship and innovation in Danish schools at all levels – from primary school to university.
The project has been realized in cooperation with the District Warszawa-Śródmieście and coordinated by Danish Cultural Institute in Poland.
