As part of the Festival for Mental Health and Neurodiversity, held in Chișinău, Moldova, on October 10–11, 2024, the Danish Cultural Institute, together with Don’t Fear the Weird (DK) and local partners, collected a series of personal testimonials about mental health from both Moldovan and Danish participants.

The aim was to give voice to individual experiences of vulnerability, resilience, and hope — and to create mutual understanding across cultures. These personal stories offer an honest glimpse into the realities of living with mental health challenges and show how art, community, and dialogue can foster awareness and empathy.
