Dreams for Ukraine 2026
In the spring of 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming 33 passionate young Ukrainians, aged 16–21, from nine frontline regions to Copenhagen.
The young people participated in our project UkraineMrii (“Dreams for Ukraine”), which, for the fifth time, has sent young Ukrainians on a study trip to Denmark.
The project’s goal is to strengthen the young people’s ability to develop and lead their own projects, which will be implemented in their hometowns. The study trip also helped foster dialogue between Ukrainian and Danish youth and expand the participants’ knowledge in areas such as culture, democracy, education, and inclusion—and, based on these topics, how young people can help build a better future in Ukraine.
The program included visits to DUF (Danish Youth Council), Philea (Philanthropy Europe Association), Nordatlantens Brygge, Ukraine House in Denmark, Bevar Ukraine, and Krogerup Folk High School. In addition, we held meetings with SUMH, UN City Copenhagen, Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke / ActionAid Denmark, and Mathilde Kastbjerg from the City of Copenhagen.
