Grzegorz Wróblewski – publication of Contact Points and author’s meeting

Grzegorz Wróblewski visits DCI in Warsaw in connection with the publishing of his essay book Contact Points

Danish Cultural Institute and Convivo publishing house are organizing the author’s meeting with Grzegorz Wróblewski, Polish writer and artist living in Denmark. The meeting will take place to mark and promote the publication of his newest essay book Contact points.

Contact points is a part of the One Essay series that presents texts of contemporary creators, historians and cultural researchers, ready to question the established narratives and existing cognitive schemes.

Grzegorz Wróblewski

Wróblewski was born in Gdańsk, in 1962, and grew up in Warsaw, where he lived from 66-85. In 85 he moved to Denmark, where he has been living in and working from Copenhagen since. He is the author of a long list of books and publications of both poetry, prose and drama, and does not shy away from social and political commentary. Wróblewski is remarkably skilled in observing what most people does not notice, or does not want to notice, in everyday life, and making it visible, almost tangible, through his texts.

His literary work has been translated into: Danish, English, Czech, Slovakian, Hungarian, Slovenian, Vietnamese, Norwegian, Swedish, Russian, Spanish and German. In Denmark he has recently published Digte (2015) and Cindys Vugge (2016).
