Nordic Days Festival in Armenia

Over two days, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland came together in the heart of Yerevan, creating a vibrant meeting place where ideas, creativity, and people converged to explore how culture and collaboration can contribute to more sustainable, inclusive, and future-oriented societies.

Through panel discussions, exhibitions, film screenings, music, workshops, and much more, audiences gained insight into Nordic perspectives on topics such as well-being, gender equality, education, and sustainability. At the same time, the festival fostered new connections between Armenia and the Nordic countries.

Together with our Armenian partner, Edge Publishing, Danish Cultural Institute invited Danish author Sanne Munk Jensen to participate in the Nordic Days Festival to celebrate the Armenian publication of her young adult novel Au Pair, co-authored with Kim Fupz Aakeson. The publication was marked with a book presentation and signing event.

Sanne Munk Jensen also took part in a conversation on Scandinavian children’s and young adult literature, the importance of reading, and the role of literature in shaping young people’s education, identity, and understanding of the world.

In collaboration with Edge Publishing, Danish Cultural Institute facilitated the translation of Au Pair into Armenian, one of the first direct translations of contemporary Danish young adult literature into Armenian.
