EU4Culture

EU4Culture is an EU-funded programme working with the cultural and creative sectors in the EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood countries. Its goal is to support the development of culture as a driver of growth and social development across the region, with a particular focus on cities outside the capitals.

The overarching aim is to strengthen the role of cultural and creative industries in each partner country by developing and implementing cultural development strategies. Danish Cultural Institute’s role in the programme is to provide support and training in each participating country.

In November 2024, Danish Cultural Institute took part in the final conference in Chisinau, Moldova, where key outcomes from the four-year project were celebrated. The programme has resulted in the creation of cultural strategies in 14 cities and supported over 400 artists through mobility projects.
