CultureCivic 2024

Throughout 2024, we continued our involvement in the CultureCIVIC programme as part of our longterm efforts to strengthen cultural infrastructure and support civil society actors in Türkiye. The ambition is to reach beyond Türkiye’s traditional cultural hubs, thereby increasing civic engagement, cultural dialogue, and capacity building within the Turkish arts and culture sector.

CultureCIVIC supports projects and individuals that promote cultural dialogue, tolerance, freedom of expression, non-discrimination and LGBT+ rights, social cohesion, individual freedoms, and democratic processes.

In 2024, the final reporting and closure processes for CultureCIVIC Vol. 1.0 were completed in close collaboration with project partners and team members. At the same time, preparations for CultureCIVIC Vol. 2.0 were set in motion. Danish Cultural Institute was appointed as both an advisory and jury member for the new programme round.
