Ageing Together: Voices Across Time
How do we approach ageing as individuals and as a society? Ageing is not only a biological reality, but also a cultural and social issue that shapes our understanding of life, dignity, and community.
The project “Ageing Together: Voices Across Time” explores these questions through art, music, film, and dialogue in a cross-cultural collaboration between European and Chinese artists. Drawing on the Confucian concept of filial piety – the moral responsibility to care for and respect one’s parents and elders – the project examines how respect and care for older generations are understood across cultures. At the heart of the project is the exhibition “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night”, in which works by ten artists explore ageing as a valuable and creative stage of life.
