Crosses and Stars

The photo exhibition “Crosses and Stars” documents the large-scale protests that have taken place in Georgia in recent years. The exhibition has been continuously updated with new photographs, most recently with images taken by photographer Tako Robakidze in December 2024.

In the summer of 2025, Crosses and Stars was presented at Roskilde Festival, accompanied by a panel discussion on the relationship between techno culture and protest culture in Georgia, followed by a rave featuring leading Georgian DJs. The collaboration marked Danish Cultural Institute’s first partnership with Roskilde Festival and Georgia’s first official presence at the festival. The exhibition was also shown in autumn 2025 in connection with a conference on democracy at the University of Copenhagen.
