Cultural resilience
As a result of political developments in Georgia, artistic freedom and the ability of civil society organisations to engage in international partnerships have been significantly restricted. These changing conditions have had profound consequences for the working conditions, security, and long-term sustainability of cultural actors. Building on established regional relationships among cultural actors across the EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood, Danish Cultural Institute’s Georgian partner launched a targeted capacity-building programme. The initiative focused on strategic approaches to security, resilience, and organisational survival, drawing on exchanges with Belarusian cultural actors who have many years of experience working under politically repressive conditions.
