Animated Learning in Brazil

Animated Learning is part of the initiative Animated Engagement, where the collaboration between the two UNESCO Creative Cities, Viborg (Denmark) and Santos (Brazil), was truly brought to life. Student teachers from VIA University College worked closely for two weeks with nine Brazilian pedagogy students from three local universities. The course was facilitated by The Animation Workshop’s Animated Learning Lab and introduced animation-based learning and pedagogical practice within an intercultural climate perspective.

Themes and techniques were put into practice through workshops with students at a public school situated in a socially and climatically vulnerable area. The initiative generated strong local interest and was presented to pedagogy students from the participating universities at a joint event at Unisantos, with the involvement of the Santos Municipal Education Department.
