Nordic jazz meets Indian raga

Together with the Global Jazz Explorer Institute (DK), we launched a new musical exchange project, bringing Nordic jazz and Indian classical music together and developing them through concert collaborations, education, joint composition, and outreach. The first phase, supported by the Nordic Culture Fund, took place across six Indian states, where a number of Indian and Danish musicians and Indian organisations presented concerts at venues and universities, as well as workshops and masterclasses at music academies and schools.

The project lays the foundation for a long-term Nordic-Indian collaboration in teaching, talent development, and concert activity.
