My Nature–Art School in Istanbul and Çanakkale

The My Nature–Art School project was launched at the Elgiz Museum in Istanbul, where children had the opportunity to connect with nature through art. In collaboration with Danish artists Marika and Freja from Seidler’s SENSORIUM, children took part in workshops creating artworks using clay, plaster, and natural materials. Each workshop began with interactive storytelling to spark the children’s imagination and sense of nature.

The activities continued in Çanakkale as part of the biennial. At the Güneşane Foundation near Assos, children from the villages of Behramkale and Paşaköy took part in theatre games and art activities inspired by the sounds and materials of nature. They explored a farm, collected organic materials, and created unique pieces. The aim was to nurture children’s creativity and strengthen their relationship with their surroundings.
