New members of DCI’s Council

New Members of the Council

 

On May 30 members of Danish Cultural Institute’s council were gathered for the annual meeting, in Asia House, where Chairman of the Board Carsten Haurum reported on the results of 2017, and new members were elected for the council and board.

As new members were elected Director of KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art Aalborg, Gitte Ørskou, and Director of Aarhus Festuge Rikke Øxner.

 

Rikke Øxner was also elected to the board, where she took over as member after Anders Laursen, President of Danish Music Union, who stepped down as Vice Chairman of DCI’s board. For two decades Anders Laursen has put a huge effeort in the work of the cultural institute and been an heavy professional sparring partnero on many issues, among others music.

CEO of M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark, Ulla Tofte was elected as new Vice Chairman.

 

Back in September 2017, former Chairman of the Board, Michale Christiansen stepped down, as well as Senior Advisor Füsun Eriksen, and this has given the possibility for selecting two mew members.

 

Beside this the two political parties, The Liberal Alliance and The Alternative have chosen to become members of the Council. By these two menbers, the Danish political parties are now all represented.
