Loïc Destremau and Gen~.Rate at Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music

Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music celebrates its 60th edition jubilee.
The Jubilee will reflect on the past, the festival traditions, memorable concerts and characters. For many years it was the only event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, and today nationwide it is recognized as the only contemporary music festival in Poland on an international scale and status. Nonetheless it remains thriving. The Festival is organized by the Polish Composers’ Union. The Repertoire Committee, an independent body appointed by the Union’s Board, determines the program of each edition of the festival. Warsaw Autumn is, therefore, an international and non-profit festival of a nongovernmental association.
Danish Cultural Institute is working with the Danish-French artist Loïc Destremau (Faulty Waterwork), who is playing a concert with GEN~.RATE. It’s a Polish composers collective focused on the cooperation of composers, conductors and musicians from various academic backgrounds and countries. The name of the concert – GEN~.RATE: ZOOMED – refers to a situation in which the recipient has the possibility of direct contact with the scenario in an unconventional manner, placing the viewer on stage.
