Culture for a closer relationship between Denmark and Germany

For the next three years culture will be the focus in an attempt to create a closer relationship between Denmark and Germany. Several Danish artists has already shown the way and established themselves in Berlin – Olafur Eliasson, Elmgreen & Dragset, Agnes Obel, Stine Marie Jacobsen … – and German artists has traveled in the opposite direction to gather new impressions in Denmark. Now the next chapters in that story will be written. Cultural exchange is an important factor in strengthening and developing Danish culture.

Danish Cultural Institute in Brussels has participated in planning the Danish-German cultural exchange project in 2018-2020, which involves the Agency for Culture and Palaces, The Danish Embassy in Berlin, the Danish Cultural Institute and the members of the International Panel for Culture. The German partners are cultural institutions, cultural actors and the German Foreign Ministry.
