Stefan M. Rasmussen from Danish Cyclists’ Federation at Nordic Focus Festival in Gdansk

Cycling is a part of every Dane’s DNA. You’ll experience that everywhere you go and especially when setting your first steps in Copenhagen, where 65% of all trips to work or education are on a bicycle. Stefan M. Rasmussen from Danish Cyclists’ Federation will demonstrate a variety of examples from recent cycling projects and methods introduced in Copenhagen and Aarhus, also from a political point of view. The key point according to the Danish lecturer is that infrastructure does a whole lot of work in promoting cycling, but communication on the side is crucial as well.
After the presentation Stefan M. Rasmussen will together with dr. Piotr Kuropatwiński (former Vice-President of European Cyclists’ Federation) and Krzysztof Perycz-Szczepański from the Department of Active Mobility of the Municipal Office in Gdansk take part in a discussion panel Promoting bicycle in the city as an important tool for shaping mobility.
